Concerts on the Garth - Memphis Central High School Jazz Band

Memphis Central High School's award-winning jazz band will play for St. George’s Episcopal Church’s Concerts on the Garth series on August 30 at 6:30 p.m. Under the direction of their director Ollie Liddell, this group won 1st place overall at 2025's Essentially Elllington competition, sponsored by Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York. This will be among the first performances of the 2026-27 group, and it promises to be a wonderful evening with a great program

Admission is free. Bring your family, friends, pets on leashes, and lawn chairs. St George’s youth gruop will be selling Hot Dog and Hamburger plates and baked treats before the concert, beginning at 5:30 p.m. . In case of inclement weather, we'll pull our chairs under the overhang and the show will go on!
